"Hart gives a powerful performance (actually a pair of performances) and possesses a rich and dramatic singing voice. His transformation into Hyde (Mr. Evil himself) is truly scary. In fact, the more evil Hyde becomes, the better Hart is. When Hart licks the blood of the knife with which Hyde has just murdered yet another victim, it is truly chilling. Hart does magnificent work in the show-stopping Confrontation, a duet between Jekyll and Hyde performed with split-second transformations. It is a tour de force moment. " — StageSceneLA on Jekyll & Hyde FCLO 2007
" This brings us to T. Eric Hart as Jekyll-Hyde. With his expressive voice and acting, Hart does much to keep us interested. His transformation from Jekyll to Hyde is effective, his Hyde is satisfyingly creepy, a cracked mirror image. " - LA TImes on Jekyll & Hyde FCLO 2001
" The production’s success is largely due to the performances of leads Melissa Lyons Caldretti and T. Eric Hart. Hart provides the gravitas necessary for the character." — Backstage (Critic’s Pick) on Jane Eyre
" Hart...owns a superbly expressive tenor that’s perfect for operetta while expressing the turmoil raging within his character. Hart also has the purity and heroism of film actor Richard Chamberlain and, as one would expect of the man who has played both the dashing Pimpernel and the primitive Hyde, a touch of panache. " - Orange County Register on Jane Eyre
" Jekyll & Hyde" is a tour de force for an actor, and T. Eric Hart rises to the challenge. Hart clearly defines each character. A climactic scene, in which both sides of the prsonality are at war with each other, incorporates a clever use of lighting to enhance the changes, but it is Hart's skill, more than anything, that brings the battle to life." - Toledo Blade on Jekyll & Hyde
" T. Eric Hart as Jekyll and Hyde has to be one of the most powerful, exciting performances I have ever seen- not only at the Croswell but anywhere. He is absolutely fabulous in this show. He is masterful in his transformation from Jekyll to Hyde in the 'Confrontation' soliloquy where he transforms from one to the other in rapid succession is unbelievable. If you see no other shows at the Croswell, you must see this one." - A Croswell Opera House patron on Jekyll & Hyde
" Hart is perfectly sour as Chauvelin... and Chauvelin's big solo 'Falcon In The Dive', which the exceptional Hart sings perfectly atop a two-story guillotine, is a show-stopper." - North County Times San Diego, on The Scarlet Pimpernel
" T. Eric Hart is the all-bad French Revolutionary leader Chauvelin, giving the role a never-ending intensity." - San Diego Playbill, on The Scarlet Pimpernel
" As Chauvelin, the villain of the piece, T. Eric Hart, magnificent as Jekyll/Hyde last summer at Starlight, seemed to be channeling Hyde at times. His dark intensity, rich baritone and tendency toward histrionics worked well." - Curtain Calls, San Diego, on The Scarlet Pimpernel
"The cast... features a strong ensemble including Eric Bennyhoff [Hart]... providing the vocal power necessary for Wildhorn’s score." — Playbill / BroadwayWorld Cast Records on The Scarlet Pimpernel
" Back in 2003, when the Croswell last produced “Jekyll and Hyde,” T. Eric Hart did double-duty as both director and lead actor. This time around, Hart has returned as director, and he can justifiably be extraordinarily proud of what this production is. He has a remarkable vision for what “Jekyll and Hyde” can be at its best, and he most certainly has the cast and crew to really deliver the goods." - The Daily Telegram
